Letter to the Editor

Senstionalist reporting is harmful to all people involved and has no place in our society
I am writing to you today to inform you about my son’s delema. My son was a hard working security guard who has a good reputation, until July 27 bombing, when one of the reporter made him a suspect in the eye of the public and the media bombarded our privacy. He was only doing his job while he was rescuing inocent poeple after the bomb went off. From that day my son’s life became a nightmare. My son is not a criminal and should not be labeled as one because he was a hero who saved lives. The media should not be judgemental and condem him before knowing the truth. The Judge found my son inocent, however, the public still sees him as murderer. My son deserves to be regonised as a hero and has the right of privacy as any other citizen. In addition, I would like you to be aware of the damage that the media is doing to other innocents such as Princess Diana who lost her life because of the media.

Article

This article titled Helping children Take Control of Their Learning is about how parents can help their children learn and not be frustrated by the way their children misbehave and refuse to learn, because they like to play and have fun instead of learning. In addition, this article gives some strategies to parents to use in order to make their children interested in learning. It gives the example of Leslie who expected her eight year old son to sit still and memorize his vocabulary words for his spelling test. This article states that Lesly needs to ask her son to write down his vocabulary words many time so he can memorize them easily. Also she needs to give him a puzzle to solve at the end of each time he memorize some words so he can have fun while his learning. I agree with the author of this article because I have children and I know it is hard for them to focus and seat for a long time without moving while they are doing their homework. without having fun. But it makes it very easy for them to focus when I Teach them using a game or a buzzle.
