Article
This article titled Helping children Take Control of Their Learning is about how parents can help their children learn and not be frustrated by the way their children misbehave and refuse to learn, because they like to play and have fun instead of learning. In addition, this article gives some strategies to parents to use in order to make their children interested in learning. It gives the example of Leslie who expected her eight year old son to sit still and memorize his vocabulary words for his spelling test. This article states that Lesly needs to ask her son to write down his vocabulary words many time so he can memorize them easily. Also she needs to give him a puzzle to solve at the end of each time he memorize some words so he can have fun while his learning. I agree with the author of this article because I have children and I know it is hard for them to focus and seat for a long time without moving while they are doing their homework. without having fun. But it makes it very easy for them to focus when I Teach them using a game or a buzzle.
