Everybody has a different point of view about justice. Humans from long time ago established societies and agreed about laws and justice. However, justice is always subject to debate because everybody sees it based on what they believe in. I believe without justice the world would be a jungle where the strongest will eat the weakest; the innocent is the criminal and vise- versa.
In order to be fair people need to use their highly thinking skills and not their emotions. Thus, the people that represent the authority want make mistakes and put innocent people in jail. Unfortunately, most of the time the judges and the juries are not fair in their verdict; they will judge the innocent as guilty and sentence him or her to jail.
In addition, there are many people in prison that did not do any thing wrong; their only mistake is that that they were in the wrong place at the wrong time. They will not let them free only if someone from their relative succeeds in reopening the case again, or when they find the right one who committed the crime. At this point they will free the innocent one from jail. But that poor person lost many years from his/her life behind bars. Is the juridical system fair by locking innocent people behind bars?
Further more, by Damien Fletcher “The thirty years Sean Hodgson spent behind bars looks certain to stand as one of longest miscarriages of justice in British history. But how many more are locked up, hopping and praying their name can be cleared in the same way as Hodgson? He is preparing to walk free next week thanks to new techniques using DNA evidence. His lawyer Julian Young believes is case could open the floodgates for many more convicted of serious crimes.” what this means is that till now there are many innocents in jail waiting for a miracle like this to free them.
in conclusion, justice is a way to be fair and human without it the whole life cycle will collapse and chaos will govern the world. I believe that every body should contribute to help establish a system that is fair and clear. And to accomplish that we should start changing ourselves to be more fair and not selfish or judgmental

Hi Laila!
ReplyDeleteThis is very, very, very, very, very, good.
I do see a few small mistakes, however. One, you need to check over and look for a spot (or spots) where you need a comma. Two, it is 'high' thinking skills not highly. Last, 'IN' conclusion not 'ON'.
I would like to show you how to integrate your quote better. Will you be on campus tomorrow?
Kristi :-)
