A)
-Main Idea : There are four strategies for starting conversations with strangers.
- Major details:
-Give the other person a compliment
- Introduce yourself and ask the person about his or her name
- Seek direct information from the other person
- Refer to the physical setting in a question such as commenting about the weather.
B)
- First major detail : sentence 2
- Minor detail sentences 3 and 4
-second major detail: Sentence 6
- Minor detail: sentence 7 and 8.

summarizing is reducing all the unimportant details in a paragrph, article, or text book. Usually, in a summary we write only the most important points. such as, the main idea and major supporting details with some manor details that the writer wants us to know. To summarize a key term from a text book just select one example that you felel is clear for you and condence the example by making your sentence shorte.
